Neil Warnock: 'Ross McCormack is staying at Leeds United'

Neil Warnock wants to keep Ross McCormack, despite the player's contract expiring next summer.

Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has said that he intends to keep striker Ross McCormack at Elland Road, despite interest from several clubs.

McCormack, who is in the last year of his contract, has turned down a new Leeds deal, but Warnock is reluctant to lose another striker unless a swap deal can be agreed.

"There have been a couple of clubs ask about buying him, but we don't want to sell him unless there is a player exchange," Warnock told Yorkshire Radio. "I'd rather keep him and Ross knows that.

"We can't lose players such as Robert Snodgrass and McCormack without replacing them. Where would the goals come from?"

McCormack scored 19 goals for Leeds last season, more than any other player.
