Southampton will reportedly make a move for Leeds United's Sam Byram if right-back Calum Chambers leaves the club this summer.

Arsenal are the latest club to be linked with a move for 19-year-old Chambers, who has broken into the Saints' first team this season.

After appearing in almost all of Leeds's league games last season, 20-year-old Byram has struggled with injury this season and been unable to hold down a regular place under Brian McDermott.

Despite this, Byram is said to be on Southampton's watchlist and, according to The Mirror, Leeds will struggle to turn down an offer because of recent financial troubles at Elland Road.
