Aston Villa are reportedly left "frustrated" after being quoted £30m for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Leeds United have reportedly slapped a price tag of £30m on Kalvin Phillips as they look to keep hold of one of their star players for next season.

The midfielder was a key part of the Whites' promotion push last term, featuring 44 times as the Yorkshire outfit made it through to the Championship playoffs, only to lose out to Derby County in the semi-finals.

Eventual playoff winners Aston Villa have been credited with a strong interest in the 23-year-old as they gear up for their first top-flight campaign in four years and are thought to have contacted Leeds about a possible transfer.

According to The Sun, however, the Midlands side have been left "frustrated" with a quote of £30m - double the figure they are prepared to pay.

Phillips, who came up through the academy and has made 141 appearances for the senior side, has two years remaining on his current deal at Elland Road.
