Burnley to table fresh £20m bid for Leeds United striker Chris Wood?

Burnley are reportedly willing to increase their bid for Leeds United striker Chris Wood to £20m.

Burnley are reportedly prepared to up their bid to £20m to sign Leeds United striker Chris Wood.

The New Zealand international is a key player at Elland Road, having netted 30 goals for the club in the Championship last season.

Head coach Thomas Christiansen has insisted that Wood will not be sold this summer, but Burnley are not giving up.

According to the Daily Mail, the Clarets are prepared to part with £20m after their initial offer of £12m plus add-ons was rejected by the Whites.

It is believed that the Premier League club were considering Lille's Nicolas de Proville, as well as Duvan Zapata of Napoli, but manager Sean Dyche is keen to bring in a striker who has experience playing in England.

Burnley got their season off to a positive start by sealing a 3-2 victory over defending champions Chelsea last Saturday.
