Nineteen-year-old American Gboly Ariyibi is to undergo a trial with Premier League new boys Burnley following his release by Leeds United at the end of last season.

Gboly Ariyibi is to undergo a trial with Premier League new boys Burnley following his release by Leeds United, according to reports.

The 19-year-old American made just two appearances for the Lancashire club before they let him go at the end of last season, and will now get his chance to impress Burnley manager Sean Dyche, according to Vital Football.

Ariyibi is a product of the Southampton academy, lauded for bringing through players such as Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Burnley recently announced the signing of former Middlesbrough striker Lukas Jutkiewicz.
