Marcus Antonsson 'close to permanent Leeds United exit'

A report claims that Malmo have agreed a fee with Leeds United for attacker Marcus Antonsson, who spent last season on loan with Blackburn Rovers.

Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson will leave the club in the coming days and return to his native Sweden with Malmo, according to a report.

The 27-year-old was unsure whether he would feature in new manager Marcelo Bielsa's plans for next season after spending 2017-18 on loan with Blackburn Rovers.

Following a couple of years in English football, the Yorkshire Evening Post claims that Antonsson is being shipped out of Elland Road on a permanent basis.

Malmo, now managed by ex-Leeds boss Uwe Rosler, are said to have agreed a fee with Leeds and plan to unveil the former Halmstads BK and Kalmar attacker by the end of Monday.

Antonsson, who played a total of 21 games for United, is also rumoured to have been a target for Italian outfit Brescia.
