A reporter claims that Leeds United decide to sack Brian McDermott after less than a year in charge at Elland Road.

A journalist from The Guardian has claimed that Leeds United have sacked Brian McDermott.

The 52-year-old recently vowed to remain at Elland Road, despite the collapse of Sport Capital's bid to take charge of the Championship club.

However, according to Stuart James, Massimo Cellino, who hours ago purchased a 75% stake in the club, has fired the former Reading boss.

McDermott replaced Neil Warnock at the Elland Road helm back in April 2013.
