Eddie Howe nominated for Championship Manager of the Month award

Eddie Howe, Alex Neil, Guy Luzon and Neil Redfearn take their places on the shortlist for March's Manager of the Month award in the Championship.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is among the nominees for March's Manager of the Month award in the Championship.

The promotion hopefuls took 13 points from five games last month, scoring 15 goals in the process. Arguably their most significant victory was a 3-0 win over rivals Middlesbrough.

Alex Neil of Norwich City joins Howe on the shortlist after seeing his side win three and draw two of their six matches. March was a particularly sweet month for the Canaries as they defeated local rivals Ipswich Town 2-0 to remain in the hunt for automatic promotion.

Charlton Athletic's Guy Luzon takes his place among the contenders thanks to a strong month for the Addicks. Four victories from five matches saw them pull away from the relegation zone and into the top half of the table.

Completing the list of candidates is Leeds United boss Neil Redfearn, who guided United to 11 points from five unbeaten games. His team also conceded just two goals in that time.

The winner of the award is due to be announced on Friday.
