Chris Wood has suggested that he opted to join Leeds United over a number of other potential Championship clubs because the fallen giants are back "on the right path".
The 23-year-old, who was also a rumoured target for Queens Park Rangers, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City, completed a switch to Elland Road from Leicester City on Wednesday for an undisclosed fee.
Leeds went through three head coaches last term, while also serving a transfer ban due to off-field issues, but Wood is confident that he has made the right choice.
"Things didn't look right last season but I think the club has turned a corner now," he told BBC Sport. "I did my research, looked behind the scenes and spoke to the owner and I think the club is on the right path.
"It's going to take a lot of work for things to come together, but I think they have the right people on board to do that."
Wood scored just one goal for Leicester last season, while also failing to find the net in eight Ipswich Town loan appearances.
