Half-Time Report: Kamil Zayatte header gives Sheffield Wednesday the lead

Kamille Zayatte scores a header to give Sheffield Wednesday a half-time lead over Leeds United.

Kamil Zayatte has scored a 36th-minute header to give out-of-form Sheffield Wednesday a half-time lead over Leeds United at Elland Road.

Wednesday started well, with Michail Antonio causing some early trouble for the Leeds defence as he crossed just over the head of new signing Atdhe Nuhiu.

In the 22nd minute the two players almost combined for the opener. Antonio's corner was met by Nuhiu, but his header was directed straight at Leeds goalkeeper Paddy Kenny.

Ross McCormack tried to catch Chris Kirkland off his line, but did not get enough on his effort and the ball was turned over the bar.

Then with 10 minutes of the half to play, Zayatte looped the ball over Kenny from a corner to send the visitors into the lead at the break.
