A report claims that Lazio want to offer Miroslav Klose an extension to his current contract.

Italian side Lazio are reportedly preparing to offer Miroslav Klose an extension to his current contract.

The 35-year-old, whose current deal expires at the end of this season, has previously expressed a desire to return to Germany in 2014.

However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, officials at his current club want to offer him another one-year contract following his impressive start to the season.

The German international matched Gerd Muller's record of 68 goals for his country with a strike against Austria last week.
