Juventus held at Lazio

Ten-man Juventus come from a goal down to earn a point against Lazio in Rome in Serie A.

Lazio have played out a 1-1 draw with 10-man Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A.

Gianluigi Buffon was sent off for the Italian champions in the 24th minute when he brought down Miroslav Klose inside the box and Antonio Candreva slotted home the resulting penalty.

However, the Bianconeri could have equalised before the break when Fernando Llorente found himself with the ball in a good position, but he failed to get the better of Lazio goalkeeper Etrit Berisha.

Juventus, though, did restore parity on the hour mark through Llorente. Carlos Tevez released Stephan Lichtsteiner down the right and his cross was headed in by the Spanish striker.

Antonio Conte's side almost doubled their lead immediately after as Tevez fired on goal after being slipped in a pass by Arturo Vidal, but Berisha kept his effort out.

Candreva and Klose had chances to give Lazio the lead again as the match progressed, but failed to take them.

Then with four minutes of normal time remaining, 18-year-old Keita Balde Diao was unlucky not to wrap up the points for Lazio as his shot came back off the Juventus post.
