A brace from Brazilian playmaker Hernanes secures Lazio a third successive Serie A victory away to Chievo.

Lazio have maintained their 100% start to Serie A with a comfortable victory away at Chievo.

Hernanes got Lazio off to the perfect start, curling home a strike from the edge of the area after five minutes.

German international Miroslav Klose doubled their advantage before half time, converting a rebound from close range.

Hernanes made the three points safe in the second half, running with the ball from distance and finishing neatly to score a superb solo goal.

Chievo got a consolation ten minutes from time when Sergio Pellissier scored from the penalty spot.

The win secured Lazio their best start to a league season since 1974-75 ahead of a Europa League trip to Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.
