A winning strike from Kim Bok-Yung at the expense of Switzerland puts South Korea joint top of Group B.

Kim Bok-Yung scored the winning goal to hand South Korea all three points from their second match of the Olympics against Switzerland in Coventry this evening.

Following a first half with very few goalscoring chances, the South Koreans broke the deadlock with 57 minutes on the clock. Arsenal's Park Chu-Young was the scorer, making the most of having time and space inside the penalty area to convert from close range.

However, just three minutes later Switzerland were level when Innocent Emeghara found the net against the run of play.

Korea were back in front four minutes later though courtesy of Kim, who beat Diego Benaglio from inside the area.

Captain Koo Jacheol had the chance to make the points safe in the closing stages, but he sent his effort from close range against the bar.

It didn't prove to be a costly miss though as the Koreans held out for their first win of the tournament. They are now level at the top of Group B on four points with Mexico.
