Sebastian Giovinco is not yet officially a Juventus player as Parma retract confirmation of the sale of their half for €11m.

Sebastian Giovinco was thought to be owned completely by Juventus after Parma confirmed the sale of their half of the player back to his parent club.

Just 50% of the smallest player at Euro 2012 cost the Bianconeri €11m (£8.9m) to buy back after a deal was agreed today and confirmed on Parma's website.

However a second statement has since been published on the page denying that it was a done deal.

"Parma announce that contrary to what appeared for a few seconds on their official website, they have not reached an agreement with Juventus for their share of Sebastian Giovinco," it read.

"Fcparma.com apologises for the incorrect statement."

The Atomic Ant has spent two years with the Rosoblu providing a string of impressive performances, scoring 22 and providing 14 assists in 64 games.

The Italian, who has made 37 appearances for Juventus, has twice come on as a substitute at Euro 2012 against Spain and the Republic of Ireland and will be keen to make an appearance in his nation's quarter-final match this Sunday.
