Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has revealed that he was close to joining Italian champions Juventus.
The 22-year-old moved to the French champions in 2012 from Pescara, after rejecting the chance to join the Bianconeri.
"It's true, I was a step away from going to Juventus, just before I signed for PSG," Verratti told Goal.com
"We were really down to the details. Then I heard of PSG's interest, and I decided to come here to Paris, I wanted a different experience.
"I wanted to feel part of the PSG project, and I've always felt important here."
Verratti has helped PSG to win the league title in each of his three seasons at the club.
