Antonio Conte slams 'unacceptable' performance

Juventus manager Antonio Conte says that is was "inexplicable" of his team to lose a two goal-lead during their 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona.

Juventus manager Antonio Conte has criticised his players for letting a two-goal lead slip during their 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona.

The Bianconeri were in firm command after a first-half double by Carlos Tevez, but goals after the break from Luca Toni and Juanito saw them drop two vital points.

"It's inexplicable," he told Sky Sport Italia. "The game lasts 90 minutes, not 45. It's not acceptable to be punished by two set plays on two distractions. It wipes out all the good work we did until then.

"We could've done a lot, lot better. It leaves me perplexed how we could dominate the game for the first half and then end up like this. We had a similar problem against Inter, as one goal and we panic.

"We concede far too many goals from dead ball situations and we've got to be focused, as there's little I can do in tactical terms or studying opponents. It's a question of concentration. It's a shame we drew this game against a Verona side that created few opportunities. I have to compliment them for their determination."

Juventus are currently nine points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
