Ipswich Town announce that young Irish winger Josh Carson has left the club by mutual consent.

Ipswich Town have released Irish winger Josh Carson by mutual consent.

Carson, 20, featured 33 times for the Tractor Boys, scoring five goals for the club.

"We thank Josh for all his efforts at Ipswich Town and we wish him all the best for the future," manager Mick McCarthy told the club's official website.

Meanwhile, the club also announced that an England Under-21 match against Lithuania would take place at Portman Road on October 15.
