The agent of Cameroon international Samuel Eto'o has claimed that the Inter Milan forward is close to a move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
Claudio Vigorelli confirmed that his client has "almost reached an agreement" over personal terms.
"We have almost reached an agreement with Anzhi. Now we hope that the clubs agree," Vigorelli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 30-year-old is expected to sign a lucrative contract thought to be worth around £20m a year.
Big-spending Anzhi have already signed Yury Zhirkov from Chelsea, while their captain is Brazilian veteran Roberto Carlos.
If the transfer goes through, Inter are expected to turn their attentions to wantaway Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.
