Preview: Inter Milan vs. Chievo

Sports Mole looks ahead to Monday's Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Chievo.

Inter Milan will be looking to bounce back from consecutive defeats in the New Year when they will host Chievo at the San Siro in Serie A on Monday.

The Nerazzurri currently find themselves outside the top five with 31 points from 18 matches, eight points off the third and final Champions League spot.

Walter Mazzarri's side kicked off 2014 with a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in Rome and then suffered a 1-0 loss to Udinese away from home in the last 16 of the Coppa Italia on Thursday.

Chievo are also struggling for points and are just points and two places above the relegation zone.

The Flying Donkeys were held to a goalless home draw by Cagliari in Serie A in the New Year and went down 2-0 at Fiorentina in the Coppa Italia last 16 on Wednesday.

Hosts Inter are likely to deploy striker Diego Milito in the starting lineup once again. Midfielder Fredy Guarin is suspended.
