Massimo Moratti says that Inter Milan's objective this season is not winning Serie A despite their promising start to the season.

Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti has said that his side are not in the running for the Serie A title this season.

The Nerazzurri have made a promising start to the 2012-13 campaign and are currently fourth in the table with 18 points from eight matches.

"I like this spirit," he said. "Our aim is not to win Serie A but to make the best we possibly can of this season.

"I am happy because we are playing well. I think that [Andrea] Stramaccioni is a good head coach and he is doing a fine job."

Juventus lead the Serie A standings with 22 points from eight matches.
