Inter Milan defender Danilo D'Ambrosio has said that he is pleased to have joined the club.

The 25-year-old arrived from Torino last month and has claimed that a number of other teams wanted to sign him, but the Nerazzurri suited his style of play the best.

"There were a number of clubs chasing me, but I chose Inter," he told reporters. "Inter are a big club and I know what Walter Mazzarri can offer wide players.

"Juventus? It wasn't just Juve, the best teams in Serie A were after me, but I thought Inter's project the best and most suited to me. Now I'm ready to do whatever the Coach asks, to play either on the left or right.

"It's not a great period, we've had some bad luck, but the squad is united and we want to win, I can see and feel it. I'm proud to be here and I'm sure that our work on the training ground will eventually pay off."

Inter are currently sixth in the Serie A table.
