Queens Park Rangers striker DJ Campbell emerges as a transfer target of Championship outfit Hull City.

Steve Bruce has confirmed that he has begun transfer talks with Queens Park Rangers striker DJ Campbell.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a handful of Championship clubs during this month's transfer window, including Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace.

However, Bruce has revealed that he is hopeful of convincing Campbell to sign on at the KC Stadium.

"We're talking to QPR. that's all we are at the moment, talking to them," Bruce told BBC Radio Humberside. "We hope that we can try and resolve something next week if we possibly can and we'll see what develops."

Campbell has already spent part of this season with Ipswich on loan.
