Hull manager Steve Bruce rubbishes reports that the club are close to signing Wolves striker Kevin Doyle and insists that they are not looking to add another forward.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has rubbished speculation that Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle is close to joining the club.

Irish international Doyle is looking to leave Molineux this summer following Wolves' relegation to League One, and the Midlands outfit are keen to get the 29-year-old off their wage bill.

Reports had claimed that Hull had agreed a £3m fee for the former Reading forward, but Bruce has insisted that he is not looking to bring in any more attacking reinforcements this summer.

He told talkSPORT: "I don't really know where that has come from. I have been linked with about 150 players and we have taken in four.

"We have brought in Danny Graham [on loan from Sunderland] and then we brought in Yannick Sagbo from Evian last week so in that department we are okay at the moment."

Bruce did hint that he would like to sign a couple of midfielders before the close of the transfer window, with Tottenham Hotspur pair Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore being touted as potential arrivals.
