Steve Bruce: "I know we're capable"

Hull City manager Steve Bruce insists that his side are "capable" of beating Manchester United and avoiding relegation on the final day of the Premier League season.

Steve Bruce has insisted that his Hull City side are "capable" of beating Manchester United on the final day of the Premier League season in a bid to avoid relegation.

The Tigers are currently in the bottom three, two points from safety, so must beat Louis van Gaal's side and hope for one of the sides above them to slip up if they are to remain in the top flight next season.

The manager told the Hull Daily Mail: "We're up against one of the top teams but we're at home and we all know the importance of it. We can't spend time worrying about the opposition because we've shown we're capable against the best teams.

"We've been to three top clubs, Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool, and got a result, and then beaten Liverpool at home as well.

"I know we're capable. We know the magnitude of this game and let's make sure we take the chance. We can't complain at being where we are but there's still one more chance to get out of trouble."

Burnley and Queens Park Rangers are already relegated.
