Curtis Davies: We're moving in the "right direction"

Hull City defender Curtis Davies reveals that he was disappointed by his side's loss to Manchester City but he feels that they are moving in the "right direction".

Hull City defender Curtis Davies believes that his side are moving in the "right direction" despite suffering their second defeat of the season to Manchester City.

The Tigers fell to a 2-0 loss at the Etihad Stadium as strikes from Alvaro Negredo and Yaya Toure secured the win for Manuel Pellegrini's side.

Davies told the club's official website: "After going behind, we didn't wilt and we made a good fist of trying to get back into it. The second goal at the end was a bit of a sucker punch to take.

"To come away disappointed is a positive because it shows we're moving in the right direction."

Hull have taken three points from their opening three Premier League fixtures this season.
