Hull City boss Steve Bruce has revealed that the club will appeal the red card given to midfielder Stephen Quinn in his side's 1-0 defeat to Leicester City.
Quinn was dismissed in the 95th minute at the KC Stadium for deliberate handball by referee Phil Dowd, but Bruce is optimistic that his team have valid grounds to see the ban overturned.
"Quinn's red card didn't make any difference to the game but it looked too soft, for me there's no way that is deliberate handball and preventing a goalscoring opportunity," Bruce told Sky Sports News.
"We'll have a look at it and Phil [Dowd] may have a look at it and see if there are grounds for appeal because I don't think it was intentional."
Hull are next in action against Everton at the KC Stadium on New Year's Day.
