Steve Bruce disappointed with 'poor' Hull City

Hull City boss Steve Bruce admits that his side were below par during Saturday's 2-0 defeat at home to Chelsea in the Premier League.

Hull City boss Steve Bruce has admitted that his side played 'poorly' during Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea in the Premier League.

The Tigers were comfortably beaten at the KC Stadium as they suffered a second consecutive loss in the top flight.

"If we're being honest it was arguably our poorest performance against one of the big teams," Bruce told BBC Sport. "When you play against the big teams, you have to play really well.

"Our goalkeeper made great saves to keep us in it. They are a wonderful side and have just gone top of the league."

Hull return to action next Saturday when they make the trip to Norwich City in the Premier League.
