Preview: Huddersfield Town vs. Brentford

Sports Mole looks ahead to Saturday's match between Huddersfield Town and Brentford.

If results go their way this weekend, Brentford could find themselves on top of the Championship table when all of the final whistles have been blown on Saturday.

Luck would have to be on their side, but the fact that it is even a possibility in December proves just how well Mark Warburton's side have done this season.

A perfect November has taken Brentford up to third spot in the table, and they head into the meeting with Huddersfield Town having won their last five games.

The confidence was clear last weekend as Warburton's side stormed to a 4-0 triumph over Wolverhampton Wanderers to continue their excellent run.

Brentford's form means that Warburton is unlikely to make changes for the trip to the John Smith's Stadium, but Huddersfield boss Chris Powell is unlikely to have the same luxury.

Joel Lynch and Sean Scannell are both doubts for the game due to injury, while Joe Murphy and Harry Bunn are also on a lengthy injury list.

Huddersfield start the weekend just three points above the relegation zone after going four games without a win since beating Nottingham Forest at the start of November.
