Chris Powell hails "breathtaking" Huddersfield Town display

Huddersfield manager Chris Powell says that his side played some "breathtaking" football during their 4-2 victory over Blackpool this afternoon.

Huddersfield Town manager Chris Powell has said that his side played some "breathtaking" football during their 4-2 victory over Blackpool this afternoon.

The Terriers raced into a three-goal lead inside the first 16 minutes and Powell was left delighted by some of the football that his side played, but warned against complacency after they yet Blackpool back into the match at the end of the second half.

"I enjoyed the first 30 minutes and I'm sure every Town fan and everyone in blue and white will have done," the Terriers manager told the Huddersfield Daily Examiner. "We were outstanding, it was absolutely breathtaking at times."

He added: "My teamtalk was about no complacency in the second half. We showed that towards the end of the first half. We need to eradicate that because we really put them to the sword and when you do that you don't let off.

"We have given value for money, that's for sure, but I would have preferred it if we hadn't have put the scare into the 90 minutes like we did."

The win has stretched Huddersfield's run to four Championship games without a loss.
