Half-Time Report: James Vaughan gives Huddersfield Town the lead

Huddersfield Town lead Charlton Atheltic 1-0 at half time.

Huddersfield Town are beating Charlton Athletic 1-0 in tonight's Championship match.

Jonathan Stead fired wide after the ball fell to him in Charlton's penalty area, but Huddersfield had the majority of the early possession.

The away side failed to make the most of a good crossing position when Lawrie Wilson overhit his pass to Marvin Sordell.

Sean Scannell was then played in by Stead, but his effort was poor and went wide.

The Terriers were the stronger team in the first 30 minutes, but again Scannell missed the target despite good work to beat his marker.

James Vaughan smacked the crossbar with an overhead kick but the referee had already blown his whistle for a foul.

However, the striker did score just before the break as he headed in Adam Hammill's cross.
