Kevin Volland: 'Bayern Munich draw feels like win'

Hoffenheim striker Kevin Volland says that the draw away to Bayern Munich on Saturday afternoon was as good as a win for the club.

Hoffenheim forward Kevin Volland has admitted that Saturday afternoon's 3-3 draw away to Bayern Munich felt like a victory for him and his teammates.

Volland's side went ahead early on before coming back from 3-1 down to claim a point, which was the first time that Bayern had not won at home in the league this season.

Key to the result, Volland said, was that every Hoffenheim player ran himself into the ground and battled for every ball.

"To get a draw against such a strong team feels like a victory for us," Bundesliga.com quotes him as saying.

"We didn't have much time to recover for today's game, so it's great that we were able to put in such a battling display, run our socks off and get a draw."

Bayern and Hoffenheim are the league's two highest scorers this season.
