Chris Coleman is named as manager of Hebei China Fortune, a little over a month after being sacked by League One-bound Sunderland.

Former Wales and Sunderland boss Chris Coleman has succeeded Manuel Pellegrini as manager of Hebei China Fortune.

The 48-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by the Black Cats in April following the club's relegation from the Championship.

Seven months on from surprisingly stepping down as Wales chief, Coleman is now preparing for his third job in a year as he embarks on a fresh challenge in the Far East.

Hebei China Fortune are the seventh side that Coleman has managed, including stints abroad with Real Sociedad and AEL Larissa.

The Langfang-based outfit finished sixth in the Chinese Super League under Pellegrini last season with the likes of Javier Mascherano, Gervinho and Ezequiel Lavezzi in their ranks.
