Mats Hummels to miss Algeria clash?

A fever will reportedly keep Mats Hummels out of Germany's last-16 World Cup clash against Algeria this evening.

Germany will reportedly be without centre-back Mats Hummels for tonight's last-16 World Cup clash against Algeria.

According to various reports on Twitter, the Borussia Dortmund defender has not travelled with the squad to the stadium after struggling to shake off a fever, which came on overnight.

As a result, Shkodran Mustafi is expected to come into the centre of the defence alongside Per Mertesacker.

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski is also expected to miss out with a thigh injury, with Mario Gotze coming into the XI alongside Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil.
