Fulham caretaker manager Kit Symons admits that he is "looking forward" to working with Costa Rica international Bryan Ruiz.

Kit Symons has described Bryan Ruiz as a "fantastic footballer" after being placed in temporary charge at Fulham.

The 43-year-old was placed in caretaker charge at Craven Cottage yesterday following Felix Magath's dismissal, with the club sitting at the bottom of the Championship table.

He told Sky Sports News: "I had a couple of conversations with players last night, and Bryan was one of them.

"He's a fantastic footballer and is very upbeat and positive. That's a great start.

"I was delighted with the conversation and looking forward to seeing him in training."

The Costa Rica international spent the second half of last season on loan at PSV Eindhoven, and is yet to feature for Fulham this campaign.
