Mamadou Sakho remains doubtful for France ahead of their last-16 clash with Nigeria at the World Cup.

France defender Mamadou Sakho remains an injury doubt ahead of his side's second-round encounter with Nigeria at the World Cup tonight (Monday).

The centre-back suffered a thigh problem during Les Bleus' goalless draw with Ecuador in the group stage last week.

Having trained separately from the rest of the squad on Sunday, it is unclear whether Sakho will be fit for this evening's clash with the Nigerians in Brasilia.

Sakho has scored two goals in 22 games for France since he made his debut back in 2010.
