Fiorentina striker Nikola Kalinic has expressed his delight at joining the Serie A club.
The 27-year-old completed his move to the Viola from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk at the weekend and has penned a four-year contract.
"This is certainly a big step in my career," Kalininc told reporters. "As soon as I heard Fiorentina were interested, I put a lot of pressure on the [Dnipro] directors to allow me to come here.
"I wanted to play in Italy, and I'm glad I made it. If I do well in Florence, I can also earn a call-up to the national team, and that's very important for me.
"Serie A is a very different League to the Ukrainian one, it won't be easy to make my mark."
Kalinic scored five goals in last season's Europa League to help Dnipro reach the final.
