Report: Ross Barkley to sign new Everton contract

Everton reach an agreement with midfielder Ross Barkley over a new contract, according to a report.

Ross Barkley will sign a new long-term contract with Everton in the coming days, according to a report.

The Sunday People claims that talks over a new deal between the 20-year-old midfielder and the Premier League club have been going on since the end of last season, and that an agreement has finally been reached.

The new deal will see the England international remain at Goodison Park until 2018 and will increase his salary significantly.

Barkley has been on the books of Everton since 2005.
