Everton twice threw away the lead as Tranmere Rovers held them to a 2-2 draw in their pre-season friendly at Prenton Park this evening.

England Under-21 international left-back Luke Garbutt teed up Steven Naismith for the opener with a cross and his goal remained the difference at half time.

Roberto Martinez, who changed all 10 outfield players at the break, saw his side lose their advantage when Tranmere Rovers' forward Cole Stockton chipped Joel Robles just after the hour mark.

Everton went ahead 10 minutes later when Leon Osman finished from close range following a corner, but James Rowe's late goal secured a well-deserved draw for the hosts.
