Everton boss Roberto Martinez hails Gerard Deulofeu impact

Everton boss Roberto Martinez praises Gerard Deulofeu's performance against Stoke City.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has lavished praise on Gerard Deulofeu following his side's 4-0 victory over Stoke City.

The young Spaniard was on target during his first Premier League start for the Blues, and his compatriot later identified him as a standout performer.

"It was the most satisfying individual performance that we had because he had to wait for so long to get his chance," BBC News quotes Martinez as saying.

Deulofeu netted Everton's first shortly before half time, with Seamus Coleman, Bryan Oviedo and Romelu Lukaku on target in the second period.
