Sylvain Distin: 'No need for Everton to panic just yet'

Sylvain Distin believes that there is no need for Everton to 'panic' yet, despite their leaky defence.

Everton defender Sylvain Distin believes that he and his teammates do not need to 'panic', despite the team's defensive woes.

The Merseyside outfit have conceded 13 goals in five Premier League matches so far this season, but Distin believes that the team will get it right.

"I don't see what huge changes you can make," the Liverpool Echo quotes Distin as saying. "We've been solid for five or six years. Over the past three or four seasons we're the third best defence in the league.

"It depends how you want to look at it - you can start panicking and thinking 'what's going on?' but I don't think that's the right thing to do."

Everton have secured just one victory in the league so far, along with two draws and two defeats.
