Daniel Sturridge reveals injury concern

England striker Daniel Sturridge reveals that he is struggling with a dead leg ahead of Thursday's crucial World Cup encounter with Uruguay.

England striker Daniel Sturridge has revealed that he is struggling with a dead leg ahead of the team's World Cup encounter with Uruguay.

Sturridge suffered the problem on Saturday night during the Three Lions' 2-1 defeat to Italy in Manaus.

The forward cancelled out Claudio Marchisio's opener before Mario Balotelli netted the winning goal for the Azzurri at the start of the second half.

"Everybody is working extremely hard. Everybody is pushing themselves to their limits," Sturridge is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I'm pushing myself to my limits and I've got a dead leg now but I'm trying to get over that for the next game."

Sturridge's goal against Italy took his England tally to five goals in 13 appearances.
