England manager Roy Hodgson reveals that Luke Shaw is a doubt for Friday's World Cup warm-up game against Peru with illness.

England manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that left-back Luke Shaw could miss Friday's World Cup warm-up friendly against Peru due to illness.

The 18-year-old Southampton defender will be battling Leighton Baines for the first-choice spot in Brazil next month.

However, Shaw may not be able to show his ability to Hodgson at Wembley tomorrow after he missed training on Thursday with a head cold.

The Three Lions will face Uruguay, Italy and Costa Rica in Group D when their campaign gets underway on June 14.

Uruguay defender Diego Godin battles for possession on November 13, 2013.
