Luke Shaw drops back into England Under-21 squad for Euro 2015 playoff

Luke Shaw, Saido Berahino and Calum Chambers are named in the England Under-21 squad for next week's Euro playoff against Croatia.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has been named in the England Under-21 squad for next week's Euro 2015 playoff against Croatia, despite being part of the senior side for the World Cup in Brazil.

The 19-year-old was part of Roy Hodgson's squad in the summer, but has struggled for regular game-time at United due to injury concerns following his move to Old Trafford from Southampton.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers, who was part of the senior party the last time out, has also been included in Gareth Southgate's squad, as has West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino.

The 21-year-old was considered to be a possible inclusion in Hodgson's squad for upcoming Euro 2016 qualifiers, but his positive start to the season has not earned him a senior call-up.

Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker could be handed his international Under-21 debut next Friday, while Patrick Bamford has been given a recall.

The Young Lions will take on Croatia at Molineux on October 10 for the first leg before travelling to Vinkovci for the second leg four days later.

England Under-21 squad:

Goalkeepers: Jonathan Bond (Watford), Jack Butland (Stoke City), Sam Johnstone (Manchester United).

Defenders: Calum Chambers (Arsenal), Eric Dier (Tottenham Hotspur), Luke Garbutt (Everton), Ben Gibson (Middlesbrough), Carl Jenkinson (West Ham United, on loan from Arsenal), Michael Keane (Burnley, on loan from Manchester United), Jamaal Lascelles (Nottingham Forest, on loan from Newcastle United), Liam Moore (Leicester City), Luke Shaw (Manchester United).

Midfielders: Lewis Baker (Chelsea), Tom Carroll (Swansea City, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur), Jake Forster-Caskey (Brighton & Hove Albion), Will Hughes (Derby County), Thomas Ince (Hull City), Alex Pritchard (Brentford, on loan from Tottenham Hotspur), Nathan Redmond (Norwich City).
