West Ham United's Joe Cole wants to revive his England career.

West Ham United midfielder Joe Cole has revealed that he wants to resurrect his England career.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea man, who has fallen down the pecking order for the Three Lions, says that watching England's 2-1 win over Brazil on Wednesday made him want to regain his place in the national team.

"I was thinking [during the game] 'how am I going to get in this team?' because I still want to play for England," Cole told The Telegraph.

"It's a long time since I played and I know the odds are against me because I've been away for so long, but I enjoy the challenge. That's the masochist in me."

Cole moved back to his boyhood club from Liverpool last month.
