Juan Mata: 'England to be a main rival at Euro 2016'

Juan Mata suggests that England will be one of Spain's "main rivals" at Euro 2016 in France.

Juan Mata has suggested that England will be one of Spain's "main rivals" at Euro 2016.

England became the first team to qualify for next summer's tournament in France when they beat San Marino on Saturday to maintain their perfect record in Group E.

Reigning champions Spain look set to join the Three Lions in the finals as they currently sit top of Group C.

"I would like to congratulate England for becoming the first team already qualified for the Euro 2016," Manchester United man Mata wrote on Kicca.

"They have good players in every line and I'm sure they're going to be one of the main rivals in France."

England face Switzerland at Wembley on Tuesday evening in their next qualifier.
