Karim Guede and Julian Schuster find the net for Freiburg to send the Bundesliga outfit through to the next round of the German Cup with victory over Eintracht Trier.

Freiburg have defeated Eintracht Trier 2-0 at Moselstadion to book their spot in the second round of the DFB-Pokal.

The Bundesliga outfit failed to break down their fourth-tier opponents in the first half, and the teams went into the interval goalless.

That soon changed, however, with Julian Schuster firing Freiburg ahead six minutes after the restart.

Karim Guede added a second 20 minutes before time to put Christian Streich's men in command, and Trier were unable to find a response.

Freiburg's Julian Schuster is congratulated by team mates after scoring the opening goal against Slovan Liberec during their Europa League group match on September 19, 2013
