Eintracht Frankfurt coach Armin Veh admits that Augsburg were deserved 2-0 winners against his side on Sunday.

Eintracht Frankfurt coach Armin Veh has admitted that Augsburg deserved to win the Bundesliga game between the two sides on Sunday.

Ji Dong-Won scored both goals at the SGL Arena as hosts Augsburg overcame their Europe-chasing opponents 2-0.

"FCA absolutely deserved the win," Veh told reporters. "We were in the game for the first 15 minutes, but after that FCA grew into the contest and took a deserved lead.

"They battled and fought hard to win every second ball as you'd expect from a team caught up in a relegation battle."

Frankfurt are now sixth in the league table, while Augsburg are third from bottom.
