Highly-rated Everton midfielder John Lundstram has joined League One outfit Doncaster Rovers on an initial one-month loan deal.

The 19-year-old has impressed for the club's Academy outfit in recent seasons, while he is the current captain of England's Under-19 side.

It is understood that boss Brian Flynn moved for the youngster following his performance in his national side's win over Denmark earlier this month.

A statement on the club's official website confirmed the move. "Doncaster Rovers are pleased to announce the signing of Everton midfielder John Lundstram on an initial one-month loan deal," it read.

The playmaker could make his debut in Saturday's league clash against Yeovil Town.
