Team News: Joey Barton named on Burnley bench

Joey Barton is named on the Burnley bench for their trip to Derby County, while the Rams make two changes to their side from last time out.

Joey Barton could make his first appearance for new side Burnley this evening after being named on the bench against Derby County.

The ex-Queens Park Rangers midfielder joined the Clarets on a free contract at the end of last month.

Having now built up his fitness levels, Barton is among the substitutes for Burnley as they look to make it five wins on the bounce.

Opponents Derby, who have recovered from a slow start to the season by claiming back-to-back victories, make two changes from last time out.

George Thorne and Andreas Weimann come into the Rams' starting lineup in place of Jeff Hendrick and Tom Ince, the latter of whom misses out on the squad altogether due to injury.

Derby County: Carson; Christie, Forsyth, Keogh, Martin; Russell, Shackell, Johnson, Butterfield, Thorne; Weimann
Subs: Grant, Hendrick, Bent, Pearce, Hanson, Shotton, Warnock

Burnley: Heaton; Darikwa, Duff, Keane, Mee; Boyd, Jones, Arfield, Kightly; Vokes, Gray
Subs: Gilks, Ward, Hennings, Taylor, Lowton, Long, Barton
